Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been taken by Department of Health officials during a search of a home in Glengormley.

A guy was spoken with by department officers about illegally importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medicines by means of the internet.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is essential that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be unsafe.
